Data helps us understand what happened, but storytelling helps others understand why it matters. In this interactive session, we'll explore how Parks and Recreation professionals can move beyond reporting numbers to using data as a tool for telling meaningful stories about community impact.
Participants will reflect on their current approaches to working with data, discuss how stories can be uncovered within common Parks and Recreation datasets, and examine the differences between reporting information and creating narratives that resonate with audiences. Through discussion, examples, and a practical worksheet activity, attendees will leave with strategies for making their data more engaging, memorable, and actionable.
Optional: To prepare for the collaborative discussion, we ask that you watch this webinar video by Storytelling with Data before our meeting.
*This session is available for 0.1 CEUs (complete during registration).
*A meeting link will be sent to registered participants 1-2 days before the meeting.
