Description

Join the APRA Park & Facility Maintenance TEAM for a morning of learning, collaboration, and networking focused on strengthening teamwork and leadership in parks and recreation. This symposium brings together professionals from across Arizona to share ideas, discuss current trends, and explore strategies for improving community parks and facilities.

The day will begin with a light breakfast and check-in, followed by a welcome session and keynote presentation by Alex Montoya a public speaker and author who has spent his life helping others focus on what they have, rather than what they don't have. Participants will then have the opportunity to attend one breakout session focused on equipment and tool demonstration by the City of Goodyear parks staff. Followed by a tour of the park compound and campus areas in the park.

After the education session and tour, attendees will enjoy lunch and networking, providing time to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and build relationships with fellow recreation professionals from across the state.

This symposium is a great opportunity for coordinators, supervisors, parks staff, and recreation professionals to gain new ideas, earn continuing education, and strengthen the impact of community park maintenance.
